Meet Aurora Tafuto, PMHNP
Psychiatric Medication Management in Connecticut
Hi, I’m Aurora Tafuto, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Blossom Grove Therapy. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for teens and adults throughout Connecticut who are navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, mood concerns, and other mental health challenges.
Deciding whether medication may be helpful can feel overwhelming. You may have questions about side effects, past experiences, or how medication fits alongside therapy and the rest of your life. My goal is to provide clear, thoughtful guidance so you feel informed and actively involved in your care.
I take time to understand your symptoms, medical history, daily functioning, goals, and individual experiences. Together, we can develop a personalized treatment plan focused on helping you feel more balanced, resilient, and able to participate fully in your everyday life.
My Approach to Psychiatric Care
My approach is empathetic, diligent, and strength-based. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and comfortable asking questions about your mental health and treatment options.
I use evidence-based psychiatric care while considering the connection between mental, physical, and emotional health. Medication is never viewed as a one-size-fits-all solution. When it is appropriate, we will discuss the potential benefits, risks, and alternatives and continue evaluating how treatment is working over time.
I believe the best care is collaborative. When helpful and with your permission, I can coordinate with your therapist and other healthcare providers to support a more connected approach to your overall well-being.
