Meet Amanda Liquori, LMSW

Full-Time Clinician - OCD, Anxiety, and Depression Therapy in Connecticut

Hi, I’m Amanda Liquori, a Licensed Master Social Worker at Blossom Grove Therapy. I work with children, teens, and young adults throughout Connecticut who are struggling with anxiety, OCD, and the ways these challenges can affect school, relationships, confidence, and everyday life.

Anxiety and OCD can feel especially overwhelming during childhood and young adulthood, when so much is already changing. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients can talk openly, better understand what they are experiencing, and build practical skills that help them feel more confident and capable.

I use evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention, to help clients respond differently to anxious thoughts, face fears gradually, and reduce the patterns that keep OCD going. I also involve families when appropriate so they can better understand how to support progress outside of therapy.

I believe mental health support should feel useful in everyday life. Together, we may work on healthy routines, coping strategies, communication, and small changes that support greater resilience and overall well-being.

My Approach to Therapy

I understand how overwhelming anxiety, OCD, depression, behavioral challenges, and relationship stress can feel. My priority is to create a safe, compassionate space where children, teens, adults, and couples feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships without judgment.

I use evidence-based approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Together, we will build practical skills that can help you or your child manage difficult emotions, respond differently to anxious or obsessive thoughts, and feel more confident navigating everyday challenges.

When working with children and teens, I involve parents and families when appropriate. This helps build greater understanding, strengthen communication, and support progress at home, at school, and beyond the therapy room.

My goal is to make therapy feel useful and connected to daily life. We may work on healthy routines, communication, coping strategies, and small, meaningful changes that support lasting growth and a greater sense of well-being.
