Meet Danielle Moynihan, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Medication Management in Connecticut

Danielle Moynihan, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Blossom Grove Therapy. She provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults throughout Connecticut, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, mood concerns, PTSD, and other mental health challenges.

Danielle believes that seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, particularly when you are unsure where to begin or what type of treatment may be right for you. She strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns, asking questions, and being an active part of their treatment. Her goal is to make psychiatric care approachable while helping each person better understand their mental health and treatment options.

For individuals experiencing anxiety or OCD symptoms, Danielle recognizes that these concerns can have a meaningful impact on daily life. She aims to provide a supportive space to talk openly about these experiences and explore appropriate treatment options. When medication is being considered, she believes patients should have a clear understanding of why it is being recommended, what they can expect, and what alternatives may be available. She works collaboratively with patients to weigh potential benefits, risks, and side effects and to determine an approach that fits their individual needs.

My Approach to Psychiatric Care

Danielle takes a person-centered and collaborative approach to care. She believes that every individual brings their own experiences, circumstances, strengths, and goals to treatment, and that care should be tailored accordingly. During appointments, she takes time to understand not only symptoms, but also how those symptoms are affecting everyday life, relationships, work, school, and overall well-being.

Danielle also values communication and collaboration with other members of a patient's care team. When appropriate and with the patient's permission, she can work alongside therapists and other healthcare providers to support a more coordinated approach to treatment.

Danielle feels strongly that mental health care should be a place where people feel heard, respected, and never judged. She is committed to building genuine therapeutic relationships and helping patients feel informed and supported as they work toward greater emotional well-being.
